In the museum section, the three objects–the terrestrial globe, the antique clock, and the wooden map of the United States, are all specially-designed relief teaching aids used to help blind students. Their three-dimensionality helps to compensate the blind students’ weakness in vision. Students are able to grasp the information conveyed by them–the distribution of different landmass, countries and oceans on the surface of the earth, the time, and the geography&topography of their home country–by touching and feeling them. Noticeably, the antique clock and the wooden map were made by students, which demonstrates that students (at least some among them) were capable of blending their practical handcrafting skills with theoretical knowledge together to create objects that serves as teaching aid tools to convey knowledges to more students.
